Ted Rice, our resident artist, shares his hand crafted, one of a kind, jewelry pieces that blend the heritage of the Southwest with his Buddhist interests. Each piece is created from a blend of materials old and new, each individually inspected for quality.
As a child growing up in NYC and the Hamptons, Ted assisted his mother, Margery H Rice in creating art exhibitions in the 1960s and 70s, which included rubbing elbows with interesting and creative characters such as Jackson Pollack and others.
Exiting the 1970s with a degree in art from California College of the Arts, he spent the next few decades creating, collecting and teaching. Many of his pieces have been collected by museums worldwide.
